{"id":9727,"date":"2022-05-05T15:58:38","date_gmt":"2022-05-05T15:58:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.euromedica-assistance.com\/cmsms_department\/hpv-screening-genotipo-prevalente\/"},"modified":"2022-07-18T15:44:38","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T15:44:38","slug":"manual-lymphatic-drainage","status":"publish","type":"cmsms_department","link":"https:\/\/www.euromedica-assistance.com\/en\/cmsms_department\/manual-lymphatic-drainage\/","title":{"rendered":"HPV &#8211; Prevalent Genotype Screening"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>HPV<\/strong> or <strong>DNA HPV <\/strong>test is a screening test is performed by the gynecologist to check whether there are traces of <strong>Papillomavirus<\/strong> in the cervix of patients, infections that could cause cervical cancer. <\/p>\n\n<p>Performing the <strong>HPV test is <\/strong>similar to performing the pap smear.  <\/p>\n\n<p>It is recommended that all women <strong>over the age of 30<\/strong> undergo <strong>HPV testing<\/strong> every <strong>five years<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Just as a positive Pap test result, a positive HPV test result does not necessarily imply the possibility that cervical cancer is developing but rather implies the presence of abnormal cells, the nature of which must be investigated with further follow-up examinations such as colposcopy and cervical biopsy.<\/p>\n\n<p>The HPV test  <em>cannot be performed during the menstrual cycle and in the two days preceding<\/em> it, it is also recommended to  <em>Not having a sexual intercourse in the 24 hours prior to the performance of Qualitative HPV-Screening<\/em>, of <em>Do not use intimate deodorants, spermicidal products, creams, gels, ova <\/em>or <em>Vaginal foams.  <\/em>The following types of HPV tests can be performed at Euromedica Assistance medical center:<em> HPV &#8211; Qualitative Screening, HPV &#8211; Screening Typing 40 Genotypes, HPV &#8211; High Oncogenic Risk Screening and the <strong>HPV &#8211; Prevalent Genotype Screening<\/strong>. <\/em>The indication on which HPV test is recommended to be performed is given by the Gynecologist based on the patient&#8217;s clinical picture.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The HPV or DNA HPV test is a screening test is performed by the gynecologist to check whether there are traces of Papillomavirus in the cervix of patients, infections that could cause cervical cancer.
