In order to ensure the patient’s fitness<\/strong> to drive cycles and motorcycles, or motor vehicles <\/strong>(driver’s license<\/strong>), it is necessary for the patient to undergo a medical examination aimed at verifying the basic psychophysical requirements essential for the intended activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the examination, the competent physician checks the general condition of the patient in addition to the patient’s visual and hearing abilities. In case the patient has particular medical conditions, it is advisable to bring along reports of previously performed examinations or specialized tests. Occasionally, the Medical Officer in charge may require additional examinations or specialist examinations before issuing a certificate of fitness for a driver’s license. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to bring for the examination to obtain a driver’s license (C – D – E – K): <\/strong>
1) 1 passport photo;
2) Primary Care Physician’s Medical History Certificate (for new drivers only);
3) ID and social security number;
4) Payment of \u20ac16.00 to be made with PagoPA payment system (rate D1) (how to make payments, click here for PDF with all the instructions<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
