The purpose of <strong>physical therapy<\/strong> is the <strong>rehabilitation<\/strong> of the patient, that is, the patient&#8217;s recovery of <strong>proper function<\/strong> of his or her body through functional exercises.<br\/><br\/><strong>Electrostimulation of muscles (EMS)<\/strong> is a<strong>complementary electrotherapy<\/strong> used to promote the growth of muscle fibers. In fact, the electrostimulator, through low-frequency electrical micropulses, allows stimulation of muscle contractions resulting in an increase in muscle mass. <strong>Electrostimulation <\/strong>is always combined with<strong> physiotherapy<\/strong> treatments, including sports physiotherapy or physio-aesthetic treatments.  <br\/>You cannot undergo the treatment if: you have a <strong>pacemaker<\/strong>, <strong>heart rhythm disorders, neoplasia<\/strong>, or suffer from <strong>epilepsy<\/strong>.
