Hematic tests, better known as blood tests or blood analyses or blood draws, are laboratory tests that allow us to know the values of major blood components. Values essential for understanding the functioning of the body and the health status of those taking the sample.
It is preferable to avoid changing one’s diet and lifestyle in the days leading up to the blood draw to avoid creating imbalances in the body that would then be reflected in the test results.
Early morning blood tests are recommended, and fasting tends to be required (depending on the tests that will be performed). Where fasting is required, we refer to the 8-12 hours prior to the examination.
It is then recommended that the results of the blood draw taken be shared with the prescribing GP or specialist.
Hematologic check-up packages are provided at our center’s collection point.
