The Ambulatory Surgery involves the performance of surgical procedures under local anesthesia, without the need for patient hospitalization.
Outpatient surgery procedures include: Removal of sebaceous cysts, small lipomas, benign nevi or suspected melanomas, seborrheic keratoses, skin tumors (basal cell or spinocellular epitheliomas, melanomas), of xanthelasmas, onychectomies, skin biopsies, curettage.. Procedures may sometimes include the need for plastic reconstruction by flaps o skin grafts.
The performance of outpatient surgery requires that the patient, before undergoing the surgical procedure, be informed about the manner in which the service will be performed and give his or her written consent to such performance(informed consent).
