The sports medical examination for obtaining a sports medical certificate attesting to apatient’s fitness to engage in competitive or noncompetitive sports activity is essential to protect and evaluate the athlete’s physical health.

The certificate for sports fitness is issued by the Sports Physician, a professional with expertise in various areas such as pulmonology, cardiology, endocrinology, physiatry and orthopedics.

The Sports medical certificate for fitness for sports activities which is issued following the examination has Annual validity. As for the sports medical certificate for non-competitive activity, at the examination stage the patient undergoes a general checkup that includes the electrocardiogram at rest and the Blood pressure measurement.

At the examination stage, should the Sports Physician deem it necessary, he or she may prescribe more in-depth examinations to better assess the patient’s condition before issuing the certificate attesting to the patient’s fitness for the sports activity practiced or to be practiced.

The Professional Practice of Sports Medicine of Dr. Paola Francesca Sarchi, located at Euromedica Assistance, allows you to obtain certificates for fitness for noncompetitive and competitive sports (for sports that fall under category B1, for example: soccer, tennis, swimming, track and field, etc.).

At check-in for the issuance of a sports medical certificate for non-competitive activity, it is sufficient to bring with you:
1) Valid ID and social security number (regional service card);
2) the medical history form completed and signed by the minor’s legal guardian (click here for download).
